Introversion, my enemy.
I wanted to try and express that there is more to me than meets the eye. When you see so many strangers throughout a day, it is hard to imagine depth to them. This is why I chose to depict myself through black and white self portraits. The brain matter creates a landscape which brings the background into a more important perspective than the face value. My pictures are arranged in a triptych that also serves as a type of mugshot series. My approach in full colour from within and behind my face is not only what I want people to see, but what I see from the inside-as an introvert, I feel like I am looking out from within myself at the world. I sense from those around me that this is what they see in me as well.
